Experience the magic of spring at Cotswold Farm Park.
Our local farm park annual lambing event is back and better than ever, with over 800 lambs expected to be born on the farm.
Did you know this makes it one of the largest lambing events in the country? It’s a must-see for anyone who loves animals and the wonder of new life. (From February 9th – 14th April, when the park reopens, entry 9.30am – 4.30pm)
What activities can you expect at Cotswold Farm Park over February Half Term?
Experience the magic of new life on the farm with Lambing and Kidding each day, where visitors can witness adorable newborns taking their first steps on the famous farm. Last year’s event welcomed 800 new arrivals, the biggest of its kind in the UK, and 2024 promises to be equally as exciting with 828 lambs and 61 kids expected this spring. There will be a mix of commercial and rare breed ewes giving birth, including Kerry Hills, Herdwicks and the county breed, the Cotswolds. Experts from the farm will be on-hand to share their knowledge with daily lambing talks to help visitors learn all about the new arrivals. Later in the year, bottle feeding sessions and interactive demonstrations will ensure an immersive experience for all.
The Animal Barn is the place to head for an array of exciting animal encounters. With fascinating creatures such as Strawberry the social media sensation cow, to Ellen the Iron Age sow and her piglets to see up close, don’t forget to purchase a bag of animal feed to really attract their attention!
The Farm Park’s Discovery Barn offers visitors the chance to learn about a variety of small animals, including rabbits and guinea pigs. This educational space will encourage curiosity and sensory development in young minds.
