About
A beautiful Georgian townhouse hotel in the heart of Cheltenham.
A trio of beautiful Georgian townhouses set on the promenade in the heart of cosmopolitan Cheltenham, No. 131 is The Lucky Onion’s flagship hotel. Classic on the outside, contemporary British on the inside, this home from home provides the perfect balance of sophistication and fun.
Owned by the entrepreneurial couple, Julian Dunkerton Founder and CEO of Superdry and his wife fashion designer Jade Holland Cooper, No. 131 is considered Cheltenham’s favourite place to stay and dine opening a new world of aspirational experiences in a unique and exquisite setting.
The 36 spacious and cosy bedrooms across the property at No.131 are designed with consistent individuality at every turn. Every detail is accounted for with each room adorned with sumptuous Egyptian bed linen, heavenly Aqua de Parma products and either stroll-in double showers or roll-top baths, where you can soak away stresses before getting dressed up for a night out.
Food is a big thing at No. 131. Whether it’s a New York-inspired best of the best breakfast, Japanese sushi, at the newly opened signature, fine-dining experience YOKU and Bar Tokyo, or the celebrated Rule the Roast on Sundays and if you have room, the newly opened Ronnie’s Rib Shack, we’ve got it sorted. At night, these buzzing spaces transform into intimate hideaways, where both guests and Cheltenham’s in the know relax side by side.
Downstairs at No.131, Gin & Juice is Cheltenham’s hotspot and voted the Best Hotel Gin Bar in the World 2022 by Gin Magazine. During the day, tuck into beautiful brunches, super smoothies and the finest artisan coffees for miles around. Come evening, it’s time to party. Work your way through the free-flowing drinks list of over 400 gins (and growing) or pop in on a school night for some sophisticated tipples with close friends.
No. 131 is the embodiment of heritage in harmony and hospitality without the fluff. This is a place where sincere warm welcomes abound, and serious design meets a playful approach.
