Colourful and creative Craft Festival Cheltenham returns to The Town Hall next Spring from March 8th to 10th, 2024 to celebrate its 20th year of business.
Sarah James has led Craft Festival since its inception in 2003. She was awarded an MBE for services to craft in King Charles' Birthday Honours List 2023.
One hundred of the finest designer-maker businesses from across Britain with gather in the heart of the Cheltenham next March with live craft demonstrations, a choice of craft workshops for adults to take part in, plus an action-packed programme of free children's craft activities.
Tickets will be on sale from December 1st from Craft Festival website. Adult tickets from £7. Children under 18 years enter free with an adult ticket holder.
Meet The Makers
Independently selected for quality and originality by a panel of experts, Craft Festival ensures that only the very best makers gain one the 100 coveted places.
Local Cotwold-based craft professionals chosen to take part include Sarah Brown, a glass artist from Cheltenham, award-winning jeweller Jane Moore from Leamington Spa and Gilly Whittington Ceramics from Oxford.
New StartUp feature to showcase craft entrepreneurship
Craft Festival Cheltenham will feature StartUP for the first time to showcase emerging entrepreneurs. This feature will include Jenny Harvey Ceramics from Purton near Swindon, Feilden Atelier makers of fine furniture from North Devon and Birgit Pohl Ceramics from London.
Active crafts and making for everyone
An important part of Craft Festival Cheltenham is participation. A rich programme of workshops for adults will take place hosted by accomplished makers. The agenda will be published shortly, and typically sells out overnight.
Craft Festival Cheltenham is an event for all the family. The hugely popular and vibrant Children’s Programme offers free craft activities will be hosted again by Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre from Cwmbran, South Wales.

Celebrating the best in British contemporary craft, and creating a platform for makers to sell their work direct to the public is what Craft Festival is all about” she added.
A rich programme of craft workshops for adults and younger people will be hosted by professional makers to encourage participation and enable visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the making process.
A free children's craft activity programme encourages creative experimentation lead by makers and educators including Jim Parkyn and inspirational craft organisation Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre.
