Following the success of last year's relocation to the town centre, organisers Pride in Gloucestershire have been busy creating a day to remember. The Willans Main Stage will be headlined by 90s dance music diva Angie Brown and RuPaul's drag race contestant Copper Topp and hosted by Kara Von Site. The ever popular Pride Dog Show will also take place during the afternoon, which always draws a large number of entrants and compliments the live music taking place from 12pm through to 6pm.

Last year saw the return of the pride march to Cheltenham and this year it will assemble outside John Lewis at 11.15am and make its way along the High Street and the Promenade to Imperial Square.

This year’s theme is “You’re The Voice” and Pride in Gloucestershire Chairperson, Richard Stevens, commented “Ensuring the voice of LGBTQ+ people is heard, is important now more than ever. With the increase in hate crime, the worrying reactions by central government which are then amplified by social media, it is vital that our community has the courage to stand up to discrimination by using its voice. However, it has been amazing to see the reaction and support for Pride from across the town and there is going to be a great atmosphere in Cheltenham that day. The support for Pride from businesses and organisations like Cheltenham BID, Willans and the County Council has been astounding.”

Cheltenham firm Willans LLP commented, “We are delighted to be headline sponsors of Pride in Cheltenham 2024. As a law firm, we proudly celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and Pride in its mission to highlight and eradicate discrimination and inequality.” Bridget Redmond, Managing Partner, Willans LLP.

More information on all that is happening on the day can be found on the Pride in Gloucestershire website.
