The spectacular Cheltenham Ice Rink returns from 29 November to 5 January, offering the perfect way to celebrate the festive season with friends, family, colleagues, and loved ones.

Grown-Up Glide

Cheltenham Ice Rink’s Grown-Up Glide sessions provide a fun and relaxed way to enjoy ice skating without the kids around. These exclusive, adults-only late-night sessions take place every Friday and Saturday from 9:15 pm to 10:15 pm, offering the ideal opportunity to enjoy the rink during the final session of the evening.

It’s all about gliding freely on the ice—no skate aids, just pure skating fun. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or looking to try something new, these sessions are the perfect way to unwind and embrace your inner skater.

The Grown-Up Glide sessions are also ideal for a date night or a relaxed evening with friends where you can enjoy a peaceful, festive atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of younger skaters.

The pricing for the Grown-Up Glide sessions is £12.50 for adults (15+) and £11.50 for concessions, including seniors, Totum, Blue Light, and Veteran ID holders (ID required).

Little Gliders

Introduce your little ones to the joy of ice skating with our Little Gliders sessions at Cheltenham Ice Rink. These fun and supportive sessions are specifically designed for children under 5, helping them build confidence on the ice while having fun.

The Little Gliders sessions are perfect for those who haven’t experienced ice skating before, offering a relaxed environment where children can skate alongside their parents with the added support of skate aids. It’s an enjoyable and safe way for young children to experience the thrill of skating for the first time, all while having fun with their friends and family.

The sessions run from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on the following dates: 3 December, 11 December, and 2 January.

At just £15 for one adult and one child (under 5), it's the perfect way to spend quality time with your little one while introducing them to a new activity.

Ice Princess Parties

Step into a world of icy enchantment with the Ice Princess Party sessions at Cheltenham Ice Rink. These magical sessions allow little ones to glide alongside their favourite princesses for an unforgettable 60 minutes on the ice. Filled with laughter, joy, and a sprinkle of skating sparkle, it’s the perfect opportunity for young skaters to feel like they are part of a fairytale.

The atmosphere is designed to be truly magical, giving children the chance to skate with their beloved princesses, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s twirling on the ice or simply enjoying the wonder of the experience, these sessions are sure to leave little ones starstruck.

The Ice Princess Party sessions will take place on 8 December from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm, on 14 December from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and on 31 December from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

These sessions are proving very popular, so it is recommended to plan ahead and book a spot to avoid disappointment.

Relaxed Glide

The Relaxed Glide sessions at Cheltenham Ice Rink are specifically designed for SEN visitors to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable skating experience. These sessions create a calm atmosphere, with fewer skaters on the rink, no disco lights, and quieter music, making it the perfect opportunity to glide on the ice in a relaxed environment.

Whether you're looking to try skating for the first time or simply enjoy a more tranquil session, the Relaxed Glide sessions offer a welcoming space for all.

The upcoming Relaxed Glide sessions are available on 30 November from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, 9 December from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm, 15 December from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, 26 December from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and 1 January from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm.

Student Nights

Student Nights at Cheltenham Ice Rink offer the perfect mid-week break, happening every Wednesday evening 8-9pm in December (excluding Christmas Day). 

Skate with your mates, enjoy great music, and soak up the cool vibes on the ice during these special sessions. With the atmosphere buzzing and the music playing, it’s the ultimate way to add some fun to your week.

Cost for a one hour skate: Just £11.50 for totem card holders PLUS £1 off entry at Gloucestershire's biggest student night at MooMoo and Popworld AND a free shot or draught soft drink!

Book your ice rink tickets in advance and show your TOTUM card, or other proof of student status at the rink. For discounted night club entrance, & shot/or soft drink, show your ice skating ticket, at MooMoo's entrance. 

Also for one night only, 11 December - Skate with your mates to the background music of professional DJ, Luke Nukem!  Luke will be playing some awesome upbeat pop music to create an unforgettable night on the ice. Tickets cost just £11.50 for totem card holders. We expect this event to sell out so don't miss out, book your tickets today!

/Wheelchair users on Cheltenham Ice Rink

Accessibility

The ice rink is proudly accessible and warmly welcomes wheelchair users to all open sessions. Wheelchair users will need a ticket, while their personal assistant can join them on the ice free of charge and without the need for a ticket. ID should be presented to the Box Office staff upon arrival.

The friendly team will be on hand to assist wheelchair users and their personal assistants onto the ice using convenient ramped access, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
