Rosa’s Thai - 16 The Promenade
Bringing the vibrant flavours of Thailand to the heart of Cheltenham, Rosa’s Thai opened its doors in February and has already become a firm favourite for locals. Originally a humble street food stall on Brick Lane, the brand has become a nationwide powerhouse. Expect authentic Thai dishes from treasured family recipes, served in a cosy and welcoming setting.
Casablanca - 42 Winchcombe Street
Cheltenham’s plant-based restaurant Vegetus, recently saw a large-scale rebrand and refurbishment; reopening as Casablanca, a Moroccan eatery headed by the same eccentric owner we know and love, Rash. Expect homestyle cooking featuring lots of cumin, paprika, saffron and cinnamon.
Moolicious X Slice Bros - 74 High Street
A one-of-a-kind milkshake and pizza collaboration, Cheltenham's unique, alcoholic milkshake bar Moolicious has teamed up with Slice Bros to create Cheltenham’s first pizza spot with a twist! With huge, New York-style pizza and delightful milkshake concoctions, there's no better way to wrap up a night on the town than this.
Oliver's Bar - 10 Ormond Place, Regent Street
Opening just in time for the Cheltenham Festival, Oliver's Bar on Regent Street takes over the space formerly occupied by Aquavitae and 21 Club.
The bar has partnered with Gloucester Brewery and Fox’s Kiln Distillery to showcase a range of local beer and spirits. The newly renovated venue also boasts revamped bars and dancefloor, featuring DJ sets and live bands, plus a selection of delightful cocktails.
Japes - 23 The Promenade
Bringing a 'taste of joy' to the Cheltenham Promenade, Japes has opened its first restaurant this side of London.
Known for their signature, 'London-style' deep dish pizzas, visitors can expect sweet, caramelised cheese and a ton of toppings! At Japes it's their goal to bring a smile to every customer's face.
Loaf & Co - 3 Rotunda Terrance, Montpellier
While not strictly new anymore, we were remiss to not feature this lovely artisanal bakery in our previous foodie roundup. Loaf & Co brings cosy deli vibes and hearty, freshly made sandwiches to the pretty district of Montpellier. Check it out for your next lunch spot!

The Yard – St James Street
Excitement is building around The Yard, a soon-to-launch venue on the upper high street (opposite The Vine) that promises a fresh social dining experience. While details remain largely under wraps, we're anticipating stylish eateries constructed from shipping containers and a variety of delicious street eats. One to watch!

The Alchemist Spring/Summer Menu
Known for its theatrical cocktails and experimental dining, The Alchemist has unveiled its Spring/Summer menu. Expect bold new flavours, visually stunning drinks, and creative twists on classic dishes, all designed to surprise and delight. We're looking forward to trying the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese and the Guinness Rarebit with toasted sourdough, cheese melt and their house chilli jam.

Michelin Stars for Cheltenham’s Finest
Cheltenham continues to shine on the culinary map, with two of its finest restaurants maintaining their Michelin Star status.
Le Champignon Sauvage has retained its One Michelin Star for the 29th consecutive year, cementing its place among the UK’s elite dining destinations. Lumiere, meanwhile, has held onto its One Michelin Star for the third year in a row, showcasing its commitment to excellence and exceptional fine dining. Both were also recognised recently in the Harden's Top 100 UK Restaurants list.

New Chef at The Nook on Five
Cheltenham’s premier rooftop restaurant, The Nook on Five, has a new executive head chef – John Burton-Race.
A Michelin-starred chef and TV personality, John Burton-Race has worked in some of the UK’s top kitchens, including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to The Nook, revamping the menu with fresh twists on modern British classics and exciting new seasonal dishes.
The Tivoli
The newly refurbished Tivoli pub and restaurant has received rave reviews in The Times. Columnist Giles Coren called it ‘Another glorious, unbeatable food pub’ highlighting the venue's wonderful, huge old building, two airy dining rooms and a big bar for proper drinking.
