About
The Kings House is the latest addition to No.131. Home to eight individually designed bedrooms, a sun terrace complete with Victorian-style glass house bar, and a number of unique event spaces, this newly redeveloped Georgian townhouse is Cheltenham's newest place to stay, relax, and celebrate.
Spend summer afternoons sipping cocktails on the terrace, gather friends and family for a sumptuous dinner party in The Dining Room, or while away an evening soaking in a beautiful roll top bath overlooking Cheltenham's leafy gardens.
With delectable dining and stunning interiors, you can even make the entire venue exclusively yours for a fabulous Cotswolds wedding.

Home to seventeen bedrooms including Family Suites which have a separate kids bedroom, Outstanding bedrooms and a sumptuous Super Suite they all have plenty of space to unwind whilst overlooking Cheltenham’s leafy gardens and Regency architecture.
The interiors feature the owners, Jade and Julian Dunkerton, signature look and feel, with grand Georgian bedrooms and all the essentials guests could possibly want for a home away from home stay. We loved the high ceilings adorned with modern art, Emperor sized beds with Egyptian cotton bed linen and double rainfall showers with Aqua di Parma products. The deep copper roll top baths looked absolutely heavenly especially the one in the front bedroom overlooking the gardens. As with the bedroom and public rooms at the No.131, the designers have paid attention to every small detail with stunning results.
In line with Julian’s vision for Cheltenham to be the foodie capital outside of London, food is a big deal at The Lucky Onion and this trio of beautiful Georgian townhouses (The House, the No. 131 & The Kings House) provide the perfect balance of sophistication and fun. The No.131’s restaurant truly seals the deal as the perfect destination for a gastronomic getaway. The chefs use the very best of seasonal ingredients sourced and gathered wherever possible, but always from British lands and shores.
Downstairs at No.131 is Gin & Juice, a local staple hotspot. During the day you can tuck into beautiful brunches, super smoothies and artisan coffees and in the evening it’s the place to party! Locals and visitors alike enjoy working their way through a unique drinks list of over 400 gins (and growing) before hitting the dance floor to the tunes of house DJs and special guests into the early hours from Thursday to Saturday.
Entrepreneur Julian Dunkerton, Lucky Onion’s owner and Superdry co-founder, who was present during our show around the property commented “Cheltenham is my hometown, so to be able to play a part in its rejuvenation makes me hugely proud. Restoring historic properties and transforming them into quality destinations which Cheltenham residents and visitors can enjoy is what The Lucky Onion is all about. Kings House is the perfect example of that.”
