Join fellow garden enthusiasts at Colesbourne Park, famous for its wonderful snowdrop collection, for an informative deep dive into snowdrops and their companion plants in the winter garden on Tuesday 11th February 2025.
Each year, during their busy snowdrop season, Colesbourne Gardens reserves a date exclusively for a Study Day where hand-picked guest speakers present on a wide range of interesting horticultural subjects, offering insightful advice from both personal and professional perspectives.
The day will start at 10.30am with coffee at Colesbourne Park, followed by a talk at 11am by award winning garden writer and hands on galanthophile Val Bourne - "My Spring Cottage Garden".
At 12pm there will be a tour of the garden and snowdrop collection with Sir Henry Elwes and Head Gardener Katie Reynolds.
A break for lunch from 1pm - please bring your own refreshments or order at the nearby Colesbourne Inn.
The day continues at 2.15pm for a talk by well known author Susan Alexander who has lectured widely throughout Europe on British naturalists - "The Rugged Life of a Victorian Plant Collector", followed by a Q and A session at 3pm for a chance to ask the speakers your questions.
At 3.30pm tea and biscuits will be served and a sales table will also be open.
