For Cheltonians, the completion of Race week marks the coming of spring and Cheltenham never disappoints as a shopping destination for refreshing your wardrobe. The question is, which pieces will give you that fresh feeling we’re all craving right now?
From the bustling high street to some of our gorgeous independent boutiques here in Cheltenham, it is clear to see that this season’s trends are ones not to miss.
John Lewis & Partners Personal Stylist Carrie Lister’s top tip for a spring refresh is to embrace your colourful side.
“There are some amazing colours available right now - emerald, cobalt, orange, coral - available in quality pieces like beautiful fine knits.” Carrie also suggests “adding a statement pop of colour under jackets, blazers or coats if it's still cold, or worn over shirts, blouses and colour block T's. Also, why not add a different colour cross-body bag in a bold clean colour too - we have some lovely pieces in our Kin range here at John Lewis.”
Local Wardrobe Editor, Sarah Cross recommends approaching a spring wardrobe refresh by firstly taking a good look at your current wardrobe.
“What key pieces can you bring through into this season? Once you’ve identified what you already have, then it’s time to have fun looking for additional items to complement those!”
John Lewis & Partners Personal Stylist Steph Shaw’s key piece for the season is a statement midi skirt.
“They are an ideal piece to wear dressed down during the day with a T shirt and flat shoes, or equally dressed up with a blouse and heels in the evening. At John Lewis & Partners Cheltenham we are seeing them in some striking patterns, floral prints and bright colours.”
One thing’s for certain - with so much choice and diversity in this fashion-forward town, you’ll be sure to end a shopping trip, not just with some perfect new pieces but with a spring in your step!
