KIBOU has unveiled a fresh range of new dishes for summer 2021 launching on Tuesday 1 June.
Renowned for its diverse menu of authentic Japanese food and signature classics, KIBOU asked its loyal customers during lockdown, ‘what would you like to see more of?’, and the response could not have been more definitive.
More gyozas, more bao buns, more poke bowls, more desserts and more for vegans. In a snapshot, just more of the restaurants top-selling and most-loved items.
KIBOU’s popular handmade spiced pork gyozas, which literally fly out of the kitchen in their hundreds, are to be joined by a new ebi (prawn) and vegan vegetable gyoza. Hand-rolled, stuffed and pinched into shape by the team each day, the gyozas are then steamed, pan-fried and served with KIBOU’s house dipping sauce.
A new, teriyaki marinated duck bao bun adds to the restaurant’s current selection of fillings, which include chicken kara-age, softshell crab or shiitake mushroom tempura. Each pillowy steamed bun is dressed in a signature sauce and served with finely sliced raw cabbage slaw and house pickles.
Summer notes kick in with an extended range of poke bowls, featuring new toppings such as spicy tuna and vegan crispy tofu.
A new Japanese salad section has been added to the menu, including a range of glass noodle salads and wafu salads, with toppings such as grilled sea bass, soy tossed tofu and char-grilled chicken.
And to sweeten the offering, KIBOU has also created a new, larger, all handmade dessert menu, that takes the restaurant’s pudding selection to another level.
A soon to be signature Japanese garden; chocolate ganache topped with sesame mousse and finished with chocolate soil, tops the menu and is joined by a range of other classic desserts all given a KIBOU sign-off with a Japanese twist. Dive into matcha crème brûlée or crème caramel, yuzu cheesecake, mochi ice-cream or cinnamon-spiced apple gyozas.
