Cheltenham Literature Festival kicks off today! We are delighted to have this annual popular event back, in person, with such an exciting line up. Here are some of the events that you don’t want to miss this weekend. There’s still time to get your tickets for Monica Galetti, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Richard Osman, Josh Widdicombe and so many more brilliant big names, as well as the varied family lineup including Joe Wicks and The Burpee Bears, Nadia Shireen: Grimwood, Jacqueline Wilson and so much more!

Cheltenham Literature Festival 2021

For the first time, Literature Festival attendees can enjoy a totally new activation which is completely free – VOICEBOX.  The programme runs for 10 days and all the content will also be shown on the Cheltenham Festivals YouTube channel. Check out the new instagram channel and tiktok too - @voicebox_ 

A carefully curated culture hub, VOICEBOX will bring youth voices to the forefront through a completely free programme of talks, workshops, panels, DJ sets and more. VOICEBOX will be home to unforgettable experiences: shining a light on the topics and trends that matter to young adults, events will feature the best established and emerging local and national young writers, artists and creatives. Digital audiences will be encouraged to join in the conversation through the Festival’s social channels, continuing discussion and debate beyond the 10-day event.

Pop by to see the The Body Protest in action, make a zine with Natalie Byrne, listen to Kenny Ethan Jones talk about wellbeing within activism, explore your Private Parts with Venus Libido and Honey Ross, listen to Gloucester based spoken word artist Rizpah Amadasun, live DJ sets courtesy of MUSICWORKS, participate in conversations between Aja Barber and Tolmeia Gregory on climate justice activism, get up close and personal with Dr Alex, talk happiness with Dr Soph on World Mental Health Day, VOICEBOX x Drag Queen bingo and so much more.

The VOICEBOX programme kicks off the 10 days with a launch party tonight, Friday 8th October, from 6-11pm at the immersive venue at Chelteham's Montpellier Gardens. Join us and lets explore culture together!
