The 25th Cheltenham Jazz Festival kicks off tomorrow but don't panic if you haven't yet booked your tickets, there’s still chance to book for this year’s star-studded line-up.
Enjoy the soulful melodies of multi-platinum artist Emeli Sandé as she makes her Jazz Festival debut tomorrow, Wednesday 27th April. The eerie synths and dulcet tones of award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Odell on Sunday 1st May and the lively, complex compositions of multi-talented Jazz musician Nubya Garcia on Saturday 30th April.

Emeli Sandé

British musical icon Emeli Sandé captured the nation with her resonant, soulful voice and inspirational melodies. With 19 million singles sold, including three UK No.1 singles, 6 million albums and four BRIT awards Emeli received an MBE for services to music in 2018. The multi-platinum artist makes her much anticipated debut at Cheltenham Festival this year.
Corinne Bailey Rae

Corinne Bailey Rae is a soul-rooted contemporary R&B singer-songwriter and musician. She shot to stardom with her self-titled #1 UK debut album in 2006, featuring the global hits Put Your Records On and Like A Star, and has since gone on to earn multiple Top Ten UK and US albums.
Nubya Garcia
Saturday 30 April, 9:15 pm – 10:30 pm, Town Hall, Tickets
Nubya Garcia is a multi-award winning saxophonist, composer, and leading force in the UK’s new wave of afro-tinged jazz. Her debut album SOUGHT has been received with wide critical acclaim, being shortlisted for the prestigious 2021 Mercury Prize.

Penguin Café

Combining folk, classical, and minimalism in a style distinctive to the Penguin Cafe, producer Arthur Jeffes and co have crafted a vivid series of panoramic sonic landscapes.
Tom Odell

BRIT and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter, platinum-selling and chart-topping artist Tom Odell makes his Cheltenham debut at the 25th Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
At just 21, Tom’s self-penned debut album Long Way Down earned him a number one album and top 10 single with Another Love. His new material features eerie synths and head-rattling beats with a deft touch that allows Odell to pull off pop’s greatest trick; hiding sadness in the melodies.
PP Arnold

PP Arnold has collaborated, recorded and toured alongside such luminaries as The Rolling Stones, Ike & Tina Turner, The Small Faces, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart and more recently Primal Scream.
First arriving in London in 1966 to support The Rolling Stones as one of Ike & Tina Turner’s backing singers, The Ikettes, within a few months her world would be turned upside down after charting at number 18 with her first single The First Cut is the Deepest.
Gabrielle

British house / R&B vocalist Gabrielle began her career singing for free in London West End clubs before going on to become one of the most successful singer-songwriters in the UK. Her debut album, Find Your Way, sold over a million copies worldwide and in 2018 she returned to the top of her game with her album Under My Skin
YolanDa’s Band Jam

Here’s one for the little ones. Dubbed “Jools Holland for kids”, YolanDa’s Band Jam encourages children to discover the joys of music through dancing, singing and playing!
YolanDa’s Band Jam will expand children’s knowledge about music and instruments, attune children’s understanding of different musical sounds and styles, and inspire them to discover the wonders of music-making.
Moses Boyd
Mon 2 May, 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm, Jazz Arena, Tickets
Multi-award-winning drummer, producer, composer and BBC 1Xtra resident, Moses Boyd makes his Cheltenham debut this year. Fiercely independent and powered by a vast array of influences and experiences, this Mercury Music Prize shortlisted artist is not to be missed.
It should be no surprise that Boyd’s music seems to awaken something in its listeners, as the influence of the West Indian churches he grew up in anoints his sound with a divine euphoria that feels as at home in a jazz venue as it does in a nightclub.
