First pride parade for over a decade will march through Cheltenham town centre to kick off Cheltenham Pride Festival on Saturday 13 May.
Cheltenham Pride has announced plans for the biggest pride event hosted in the town, featuring drag performances, a contestant from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, live music and after-party, with broadcast of the Eurovision grand final.
Cheltenham Pride Festival will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and culture in Imperial Gardens, culminating in an official FREE after-party at DEYA Brewery Taproom. Tickets can be booked here.

The event will form a collaborative effort from neighbouring organisations, as the newly launched Cheltenham Pride and Pride in Gloucestershire pool resources to create a more memorable event for all.
Both organisations are inviting the community and allies alike to come together and celebrate at the event. Founder and chair of Cheltenham Pride, Anya McKenna, said: 'The LGBTQ+ community of Cheltenham is in for some much needed celebration and connecting this May. It’s more important now than ever to show our support for Trans people and the whole LGBTQ+ community, the event will be a celebration for all.'
Richard Stevens, Chairperson of Pride in Gloucestershire, states: 'We are really excited for Pride to return to Cheltenham this year and even more excited to be collaborating with the team at Cheltenham Pride to deliver it. We have lots planned, with plenty for all to get involved in. We are taking Pride in Cheltenham up a level and are looking forward to celebrating with the LGBTQ+ community once again.'
