As the leaves begin to paint the landscape with hues of amber and gold, and the shorter nights roll in, Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is thrilled to announce its line-up of entrancing autumnal and Halloween activities for the upcoming season.
With a huge choice of bewitching offerings, this year promises to be full of extra entertainment for families and friends seeking the perfect blend of farm-fuelled fun and spooky celebrations to celebrate the beauty of autumn in the countryside.
Pumpkin Patch Adventure
Nothing quite captures the essence of autumn like a picturesque field of vibrant orange pumpkins. So, prepare for a revitalising adventure and celebrate harvest season when Cotswold Farm Park’s Pumpkin Patch opens to visitors this October. An autumnal tradition for many families, pumpkins are the iconic symbol of Halloween, and picking your own edible or ornamental pumpkin to take home will have you feeling festive in no time.
Access to the Pumpkin Patch is included in the Farm Park admission ticket, or can be purchased separately, with the option to purchase your favourite pumpkins to take home, additionally, from £1 each. A free face painter will also be on hand from 11am every day for those who would like to transform into classic Halloween characters. Will you choose a spooky ghost, a ferocious vampire or even a cute and cuddly pumpkin?
And for those who love getting their hands dirty, pumpkin carving sessions will be available for £3 per person at the on-site crafting tent. Add an artistic twist to your Farm Park experience by scooping out the gooey innards of your pumpkin and carving a spooky face or design, to proudly display on your doorstep at home.
What could be more perfect than rounding off your Pumpkin Picking excursion with a warming Pumpkin Spiced Latte and homemade cake? Both will be available to purchase from the Coffee Tent in the Pumpkin Patch.
The Pumpkin Patch is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, along with all days between 26th and 31st October.
Navigate the Maize Maze
Lose yourself in the thrill of Cotswold Farm Park’s Maize Maze, a winding labyrinth of adventure that promises excitement for all ages. Answer questions correctly to make your way to the middle of the maze where you will be rewarded by off-road go-karts waiting for you to climb aboard and explore!
Selfie Stations
Capture your picture-perfect autumnal moments at one of the many selfie stations across Cotswold Farm Park. From pumpkin backdrops to charming backgrounds filled with seasonal orange, red and yellow tones, you can celebrate your autumnal day out and take photos to share across social media, and to add to your memory boxes and scrapbooks.
Dog-Friendly Celebrations
This autumn, Cotswold Farm Park is proud to extend a warm paw of welcome to our four-legged friends with an exciting dog-friendly initiative for the autumnal and Halloween activities. Listen out for the pitter-patter of paws amongst the rustling leaves as your furry family members help you search for the perfect pumpkin and pose for seasonal selfies.
Pups will be admitted to the Pumpkin Patch and Ox Shed café, restaurant and shop, however, for the safety of the animals, only registered assistance dogs be permitted to enter the Farm Park.
“We are thrilled to unveil a line-up of autumnal fun at Cotswold Farm Park this year. Following the success of our summer Flower Festival, we are excited to extend our dog-friendly offering into autumn, and look forward to welcoming the whole family to the Farm Park” said Emma Hartwell, Commercial Manager.
Throughout September Cotswold Farm Park will be supporting the Rare Breed Survival Trust’s 50th anniversary, initially established by Joe Henson, father of Adam Henson, in 1973. Long known as the home of rare breed conservation for British Farm animals, visitors to the Cotswold Farm Park can meet over 50 flocks and herds of rare farm animals including Soay sheep, Highland cattle and Exmoor ponies.
So get your hats and gloves out and head to Cotswold Farm Park for an autumnal adventure like no other. From pumpkin patches and harvest celebrations to pumpkin spice lattes and dog-friendly fun, there’s something for everybody to enjoy.
Cotswold Farm Park’s Pumpkin Patch is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, along with all days between 26th and 31st October.
