Travel By Bike
Touring Cheltenham and the Cotswolds by bike is a fantastic way to enjoy and explore local sites, scenes, heritage and stunning scenery of the local area. The area has good choice of long distance cycle ways including the National Cycle Network (NCN), with all major routes shown on the Sustrans NCN Map.
NCN Route 41 brings you directly in to Cheltenham, from the South, Frampton, Berkeley and Gloucester and Route 45 from Tewksbury through the beautiful Stroud Valleys. From here the NCN continues on a different routes.

The Bicycle Hub located at the Cheltenham Spa Railway Station offers a bicycle hire service starting from just £9 for four hours. They are seconds from the aformentioned Honeybourne Line and owner Steve has also given us his guide to cycling in Cheltenham. The Bicycle Hub is open seven days a week, 10am to 5pm, and also have secure bike lockers which are used to pre-order early bike hire collection or late drop-off too.
Bainton Bikes is another operator in the town, offering a self-service 24 hours a day 7 days.
