An exclusive evening of diesel photography is to take place on Friday 12th July 2024 at Toddington locomotive shed on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway.
Diesel locomotives of British Rail lined up on shed at Toddington photographed by Jack Boskett.
This unique event, which is scheduled to run between the hours of 19:30 & 22:00, will feature an impressive lineup of the railway’s home diesel locomotive fleet, including visiting Sulzer Type 2 / British Rail Class 26 No. 5310, courtesy of the Llangollen Railway. A real feast of historic BR diesel traction.
Additional lighting will be provided to illuminate the locomotives in the dark, and some members of the diesel fleet will run idle ‘on-shed’ to enhance the atmosphere and nostalgia. Access is by ticket only, from 19:00 onwards. This special photographic evening is limited to 30 places.
Tickets are available to book online now on the GWSR website. Please note, no drones are permitted. In addition, the locomotive shed area presents several trip hazards not limited to trackwork and rough, uneven surfaces and may be unsuitable for persons of restricted mobility. Attendees must be 18 years of age or above. Bookings must be made in advance via the website and the railway will not be able to accommodate anyone who turns up on the night without a booking.
Tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis due to high anticipated interest. Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to capture stunning night shots of the diesel fleet in a unique setting!
*All locomotives are subject to availability.
